Description
I took a weekend off from a lot of things and spent it spinning. I joined the Nutmeg Spinner's Guild and learned a TON about fibers. I had learned a lot about these same fibers back when I was doing clothing and costume design, but it was very interesting to look at the same information from a spinner's point of view.
I use an Ashford top-whorl drop spindle. I learned on a beautiful Turkish spindle, and one day I'll finish making my own. This one was a gift from a secret pal a few months back; the purple roving came from her, too. I FINALLY spun it up, and BOY is it gorgeous (if I do say so myself)!
The rest of the info is in the pic. Please feel free to ask me anything about how I liked spinning the fibers, the quality, whatever. I'm still learning but I feel pretty good about my consistency and I can speak with some authority on the subject now. Unfortunately, I have no experience with a wheel, so keep your questions to the drop-spindle techniques.

ooo..I love that blue and the one you call "vamp" makes my fingers itch to knit. (Plus I haven't knitted in like 2 hours and am having withdrawl symptoms)
Do you sell your yarn?
