What's the best kind of color pens for someone who has never used them before, and wants a good introductory to that kind of coloring style? I really want to give it a shot. :) Seeing magnificently soft and fluid coloring like yours makes me wanna go rob a bank just so I have enough money to get some pens. :D

^_^ thank you!

I use Prismacolor markers, which are alcohol-based and double-ended. They run about $2.28 - $3.79 US apiece depending on where you shop, though you can get sets of 12, 24, 48, etc. I recommend trying the basic 12 color set, though I have built my collection up over time.

The key to coloring with these is doing all the work while the ink is wet. It dries VERY fast, so I'll work in small areas whenever possible. They will also layer, so you'll get a slightly darker spot when they overlap. I experiment with color combinations; you usually won't see a pure color anywhere on my pics. Each section is at least three colors--a base color, a darker hue for shadow, and an overlay color that blends all the layers together.

...maybe I should do a tutorial. :)
